Nicolette, sista, I too am following your tireless writings from Carifesta, I so wish i could have been there with you but in the meantime your stories are keeping me connected. How will goverment ever manage without you? Their loss, our gain.

Congratulations for travelling Teeth so successfully. Its fascinating to listen to you and Miss Keva talking theatre. I'd like to add that the art of projecting one's voice seems to be lost to more than the stage actors. In daily life I find myself constantly saying to folks, "Pardon? PARDON ME? Can you speak up?" And people in my life tell me all the time to tone down the way I speak. Or, if they're generous, they'll tell me I should be on stage. I think that if I ever were, I would rather not have the microphone.

Bright blessings Nico, looking forward to the next story. Thanks for all you do.

I am very much enjoying your commentaries on the Carifesta experience and look forward to discussing them in more detail when you get home. This one is really fascinating to me, as you know my posture on performers' not mastering the art of projection of their voices and on the ubiquitous use of amplification of instruments. I am afraid I still am stuck (in my head and in my heart) in the acoustic world and am still trying to come to terms with the world of amplification. [But then, I was after all born in the first third of the last century. Old instincts and preferences die hard...]
