First, I know Obediah Michael Smith’s work, and I look forward to seeing how this conversation unfolds.

Producers and people with money (I am not disdaining money—I happen to enjoy some of its pleasures) are quite often clueless about art, and quite often, base self-worth on zeros in their bank accounts.

We as artists sometimes have to be tough as Obediah Michael Smith and stand up for ourselves.
