Theme Update

We’ve adjusted the Black LetterHead theme we’re currently using to reflect the colours we used on our Macbeth page, so for veterans, they may be a little more familiar. Expect other changes as time goes on.

Ringplay is looking for a logo. Anybody got any inspiration?

The letters R I N G P L A Y arranged in a circle with adjacent letters linked by interlocking hands that clearly show diversity. The logo should be colorful like Junkanoo art. If possible the circle should show motion. The word “Productions” or/and the word “Theatre” can be integrated outside the circle along with “Bahamas maybe”. The traditional theatre symbol (happy & sad masks) cans be placed inside the circle, in caricature and preferably dancing with each other.

    All the best.

    Tell me what you think.

It’s an idea. We’ll play around with it and see what it looks like. Don’t know how long it’ll take to develop, but we may post something for response in a little while.

Just at thought. Have a group of children representing the future growth of theatre playing a ring game around a theatre mask (or the comedy and drama masks). Then have the word Ringplay in caps on the top and Productions on the bottom. Have them formed to make a circle. I’m a very limited sketch artist but I can attempt it to give a rough idea.

    Break legs!

PS The site is wonderful. You are not limiting things to Ringplay but Bahamian theatre as a whole. We’ll get there.

    Thanks!

Seems like a circle is a recurring theme here. Some of us thought of a circle too. Philip suggested children at one point. I imagine that it’s to do with the ring in Ringplay.

All we need is time to develop ideas.

    Canadian theatre maker says:

the letters in a ring are nice… i think you should go for something on the move, something that ‘jumpstarts’ bahamians as you say.

something that can look accessible and professional at the same time.

is there something of the bahamian landscape (either miniature or large scale) that could offer a base for your logo?

    kn.
