Casting of You Can Lead a Horse to Water

Final auditions were held at the National Dance School tonight. The turnout this week was not bad at all, and between last week and this week, we’ve managed to cast 2 of the 4 leads and 10 of the 16 remaining speaking parts. Although music auditions have yet to be completed, we are optimistic about getting the cast we need within the next few days.
Horse is scheduled to play in Nassau during the Independence celebrations. (There are currently no plans to perform it elsewhere in The Bahamas, owing to the considerable costs involved in transporting and housing a cast of approximately 30 people. But we are open to negotiating sponsorship arrangements! It’s been almost 25 years since it’s been seen in Freeport — hint, hint — and it’s never been to Abaco …)
Horse is booked to open at the Dundas on July 6, with a possible preview weekend on June 29 and June 30, but we will keep you updated about the preview.
