It is with great deal of sorrow that I report that Angela Scott, a wonderful actress and friend, passed away this afternoon at around five o’clock.
As some of you may know, we dedicated our final performance, of the recent run, of “You Can Lead A Horse To Water” to Angela. She was the actress who originated the role of ‘Lawyer’ in that work when it premiered in 1983. She again performed the role in a revival held in 1988 and once again in 1991 when we took the work to Scotland to be performed at the Edinburg Festival Fringe.
In two of the first three plays that I directed, Winston Saunders’ “Them” and Paul Zindel’s “And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little”, Angela was a lead member of the cast. She was a joy to watch on stage and when she was on, there was nobody better.
She will be missed
