I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Gail Saunders on the passing of her husband Mr. Winston Saunders. I have fond memories of our brief exchanges before and after service and while sharing in the expression of “Peace” at the 11:15 am Service at Christ Church Cathedral. He was so unassuming, polite and always complimentary. A true Gentleman and respecter of person his kind demeanour and gesture in the slight movement of hand across your shoulder made you to know for that moment you existed as a person he spoke to and listen to, not just in being courteous but in sincerity.
His countless contribution to the Bahamas Cultural Development leaves a legacy for my daughter and grand daughter to embrace and I thank him for that. He has left his “footprints in the sands of time” for every Bahamian to follow. I am proud to have known Mr. Winston Saunders.
May his soul rest in Peace.
