The first thing we want to do is wish everyone a fine 2007.

The second thing we want to do is remind our readers that today is an anniversary of sorts. If you’re a member of … conch een ga no bone you’ll be getting this announcement, but if not, for your information:

A year ago today

It’s been exactly one year since the executive committee of Ringplay Productions launched the discussion board known as …conch een ga no bone.

During our first year we have seen approximately 286 members submit approximately 2285 posts to approximately 592 topics. We have discussed numerous events, activities, the unfortunate passing of cultural heroes and we have agreed (and disagreed) about the quality of some of the works that have been produced during this past year.

There have been quite a number of photographs posted of theatre productions, concerts, poetry readings, festivals, etc. and we would like to thank all of those people who have contributed in that area.

We would also like to thank you for your contribution to this board and with your continued contributions, the board will continue grow.

We are able to track the amount of people who access the board and our readership is good. We know that posting is not something that is done by a lot of our members but hopefully those of you who do not post have enjoyed reading the discussions over this past year and will build up the courage to post in the coming year.

So as we now begin our second year, we intend to keep the discussions and debates going and to keep the arts in The Bahamas in the forefront of the minds of the Bahamian people.
