		<description>George Mackey was indeed a great supporter of all things Bahamian. There is another politician who passed last year who we should remember as a great supporter of culture and the cultural community and that person is &lt;strong&gt;The Hon. Livingston N. Coakley&lt;/strong&gt; or &lt;em&gt;Sir Coaks &lt;/em&gt;as most people called him.

Other passings in the cultural community to add to the list above would be &lt;strong&gt;Wendell Armbrister&lt;/strong&gt; (aka Swain of Swain &amp; The Citations), &lt;strong&gt;Jane &quot;Baby Doll&quot; Clarke&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Gordon Lowe&lt;/strong&gt; (who was not only a radio broadcaster but actually acted once in a play at the Dundas).</description>
