Bobby Pinder, who’s been in a number of Ringplay Productions, including Music of The Bahamas, Single Seven, and You Can Lead A Horse To Water, is leaving to go off to Mississippi Valley State University, Louisiana, on full music scholarship.
Bobby impressed the director of the music programme in June 2007 when he hosted the Mississippi Valley State University Choir to a day on land, including a concert at Government House. Bobby’s rendition of the Bahamian National Anthem helped earn him a full scholarship to study music.
Bobby is going to be concentrating, naturally, on voice. He’s a veteran of the National Youth Choir and has been studying with Lee Callendar. He’s going to continue with his studies in Louisiana. For people who were paying attention, Bobby mounted his own solo concert as a fundraiser for his travel expenses at the end of last month.
He leaves for university on Wednesday August 15, 2007.
Good luck, Bobby!
