Autumn Update, Part II

Final decisions have been made about the launching of the Winston Saunders Repertory Season.

Although we had hoped to launch the Season this year, specifically this month, in memory of our dear friend and mentor Winston, we have discovered that the theatre (the Dundas) is not available for long-term productions until the new year.

It is our intention, therefore, to launch the Season in January, and to run it during the winter and spring, as the Dundas Repertory Season used to. At the moment, our venue is the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts, but we are actively seeking additional theatre sites.

We are still working towards the revival of You Can Lead A Horse To Water, but it now looks as though we will have to re-cast three of the principals, and perhaps four of them. Therefore, it will take some time to produce the play again.

We are working on two new productions for the Season:

    Nicolette Bethel’s The Children’s Teeth
    An twenty-first century version of the 1994 poetry production Four Billion Circles

and we are in discussions with three international producers regarding bringing their work here.
