I am writing you in quest of publishing. Do you offer publishing and advertising for young aspired Bahamian Authors. Please e-mail me at chiagirl_89@hotmail.com and gradqueen06@hotmail.com. PLEASE I would love to become an author one day. Please help me achieve my dream.
Sanchia, we don’t publish, I’m afraid.
I suggest you investigate the publishing industry. It’s tough, but an be worth it in the long run.
Failing that, you might want to investigate http://www.lulu.com .
I really need to find a copy of the poem Oh Conjessie. Can you help me? If so faxi it to 242-356-3548. Thank you SOOOOO Much
Not able to help, I’m afraid.
I suggest you look in the Public Library for one of Susan Wallace’s collections of works.
Would you tell me where I could find a copy the script, of the play ‘An Evenin of Sweetharting And Numbers’? Is it ok for me to use it at a cultural event?
This is the best website ever!
Thank you my Bahamian Writers/playwrites
Melonie, it’s two scripts as the evening consisted of two one-act plays.
The first play, Jeanne Thompson’s Father’s Day, isn’t yet available, though I know that her nephew is working on publishing her plays. His name is Ward Minnis and you can get in touch with him through his website, here:
Ward’s Weblog
The second play, Susan Wallace’s Single Seven is in one of her collections, which were published by Macmillan throughout the 1960s, 1970s and even early 1980s. I don’t remember which specific one it’s in, though; you might try checking with the Island Bookstore on Bay Street or Chapter One Bookstore at COB, or Nassau Stationers on Rosetta Street to see if they still stock copies.
Good luck!
Oh my! Thank you so very much! I’ll look to those places, well i have to send someone, im on the island
Hello,
Can you tell me if i can purchase DVD’s or video tapes of any of these plays? I am particularly looking for Women Talk, but I would be interested in many others.
Thank you,
Antonia
I know it’s been a long time since the last comment, but some news: Michael Pintard is working on producing a DVD of Woman Talk, so for those who wondered, it’ll be available sometime this year (2009).
